Privacy Policy

Effective May 4, 2026. This is a plain-language summary intended for transparency, not a legally reviewed document.

What we store

  • The Ethereum-style wallet address you signed in with. We use it as your account identifier; we never receive your private key, seed phrase, or any signing material.
  • Wallet addresses you choose to track for read-only portfolio aggregation, plus optional free-text labels you assign them.
  • Manual transactions you enter (type, asset, quantity, price, fee, date, optional exchange tag and notes).
  • Daily portfolio snapshots — total value plus an asset breakdown — used to render the historical chart.
  • Cached price and balance data from public APIs (CoinGecko, Alchemy, Helius, Mempool, XRPL, Cosmos LCD). This is upstream public market data, not personal data.

What we do not store

  • Private keys, seed phrases, or any signing material — we never request these.
  • Transaction-signing capability of any kind. Sign-In With Ethereum (SIWE) only verifies ownership of an address; it does not authorize transactions.
  • Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any contact information beyond the wallet address.
  • Advertising identifiers, browser fingerprints, third-party tracking pixels, or any cookie used for cross-site tracking.
  • Any data we sell or transfer to third-party advertisers or data brokers.

Third parties we contact on your behalf

To fetch on-chain balances and prices, our servers query: Alchemy (EVM RPC), Helius (Solana RPC), Mempool.space (Bitcoin), XRPL public nodes, Cosmos public LCD endpoints, and the CoinGecko free price API. These calls are originated from our infrastructure, not your browser; only the wallet address you have asked us to track is shared with the relevant network endpoint.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics for basic page-view counts. It is privacy-respecting by design: no cookies, no client-side IP storage, no individual-user profiling. Cloudflare receives the URL of the page you viewed, your referer header, the User-Agent class (e.g. “Chrome on macOS”), and a country derived from the connection at the Cloudflare edge. We use this to know whether anyone is using the service and which pages need the most attention. If you would prefer not to be counted, install a content blocker that blocks static.cloudflareinsights.com.

Hosting and storage location

Application code runs on Vercel; the database is hosted on Supabase Postgres in the AWS us-east-1 (N. Virginia) region; cache is on Upstash Redis. Background workers run on a server hosted by Hetzner GmbH in Nuremberg, Germany. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest by the underlying providers.

Retention and deletion

Tracked addresses, manual transactions, and portfolio snapshots persist as long as your account exists. Email privacy@myelitecrypto.com from the email associated with your wallet — or sign a SIWE message attesting ownership — to request deletion of your account and all associated data.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you may ask us what we have stored about you, request correction or deletion, and ask that we stop processing your data. Where applicable law (e.g. GDPR, CCPA) grants stronger rights, those rights apply.

Updates
